the MV-RD explosion vent. The vent provides extended in-
service life, lower burst pressure (pstat) in smaller sizes,
and a two-year warranty. The MV-RD explosion vent is
designed for high cycling applications, such as in dust col-
lectors and bag houses that experience vacuum pressures
up to 12 psig/24.4 in. Hg. The vent mounts on enclosures
where dust explosions may occur, and will activate to safe-
ly relieve pressure in the event of a deflagration, thereby
preventing a large explosion. The MV-RD can also be used
on bulk storage units and in ductwork applications requir-
ing a square explosion vent.

explosion-proof control panels.

Pictured is a 10-HP Single Axis Control System (SACS) in an explosion-proof panel supplied for variable speed control of a Ross ultra-high shear mixer. The operator station includes a digital readout for speed and cycle time in a new interface and more compact design. It is designed to be mounted close to the mixer in a hazardous area and wired to a variable frequency drive that is installed outside the mixing room. Type X or Z purge control panels are also available for users who require mixer portability with no remote wiring.
