High-Speed Temperature Scanning System
Conveyors transport bulk materials that may contain hot
inclusions such as coal and coke. If undetected, these
inclusions can cause damage to conveyors. Traditional
methods of preventing this effect are often
unable to detect hot
spots on a moving conveyor. The HotSpotIR
provides an accurate
method to continuously
monitor the emerging hot spots, reducing downtime and eliminating costly
conveyor belt repairs. The compact high-resolution system samples 100,000 high-resolution temperature points
every second and measures temperatures from 68° to
482°F. Each scan samples a thousand points. The scanner
then outputs a signal of the highest temperature sensed,
updating it with the next scan 1/100 of a second later.
Temperature measurements are sent continually to a dedicated processor, which can trigger an alarm or signal the
conveyor operator to take corrective action.

Bag Sealer
Designed to seal a popular bag material used to package
bulk products, the TFT bag closer for woven polypropyl-
ene bags features a high-integrity sealing method that
provides distinct advantages over other closing methods.
The sealer trims, double-
folds, and tapes woven
polypropylene bagging
material to provide a
sturdy, durable seal. The
double-fold closure has
a fold depth of 1¼ in.
Designed specifically for
woven poly bag material, the TFT applies a clear polypro-
pylene tape to secure the fold. The tape is resistant to hot
and cold temperature extremes. The double-fold and tape
seal mechanism runs at speeds of up to 150 ft/min.
